Selling Songs Through ReverbNation

When I locked into ReverbNation today I spotted a Buy Songs button on the profile page of Goodfinger (check them out, it’s a wicked band!). However it was not activated and I didn’t see it before. This made me wonder if I missed another feature once again. Well, I did not.

ReverbNation has announced a partnership with distribution company Snocap today. Now bands can sell songs through their profile pages and the TunePak feature.

Our mission is to help artists take advantage of the Internet to promote their music, grow their fan base, and grow their business. It’s the very nature of the Internet and social networks that music “travels” from friend to friend(s) in a distributed way. Combining SNOCAP with our TunePak product means that purchase transactions can travel with the music through emails, IM’s and blogs.

I think that is an innovative way to promote and sell music. Now bands just have to activate this feature in their accounts. Mashable has also a blog post on the topic.
