OpenID Consumers: Link to OpenID Providers
10. June 2007 – 21:29 byBesides more consumers OpenID also needs - probably more than anything else - more users to succeed. It needs support from the early adopters, the multipliers, the influencers, the big tech blogs, the big tech news sites, and probably a lot more people who currently don’t come to mind.
Everyone is happy when some of those guys and gals write about OpenID. But even the tech affine folks more than once fail to even find an OpenID provider. Guess what, they write about their bad experiences as well; and they are not the ones to blame. I have mentioned it a few weeks ago and it has also happened to Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten (Fleck.com and other companies) today. Bad press that could be prevented if all OpenID consumers just provided a link to the list of OpenID providers. Hell, it’s just a link!

No reason to feel stupid. It just shows that the OpenID community has to provide support for end users as well.
