One Year in Prison: Abdul Kareem
7. November 2007 – 01:22 byBlogger Abdul Kareem is in prison for one year already. He was arrested in November 2006 and sentenced to four years imprisonment by an Egypt court in February. He was charged of insulting Islam and Egypt president Mubarak (see blog post from February).
Supporters demand his release from prison and will stage protests in many cities around the world on Friday. If you’re around try to join the protests (see Free Kareem for more information). If you can’t participate, blog about it, talk about it and/or sign petitions. Simply voice your opinion. Abdul Kareem did just that.
