while yourid.com and http://yourid.com are considered to be equal to http://yourid.com/ (mind the trailing slash) the same is not true, when your openid contains a non-empty path component: yourid.com/you and yourid.com/you/ are *not* considered the same. See http://openid.net/specs/openid-authentication-2_0.html#normalization_example (just quoting RFC3986, section 6)
